Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Balaman acted as an Opponent in the defense of Jenny Gudmundsen’s PhD Dissertation entitled “Learning-by-talking in a video-mediated environment. A conversation analytic study of second language interactions at a digital language café” at Oslo University, Norway.
The co-authored article titled "The Role of Gazing Behaviors in Navigating Paired Role-Play Interactional Competence Assessment Tasks" by our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Balaman from the Department of English Language Education has been published in Language Assessment Quarterly.

Our team participated in TDL and ICOP-L2 conferences which took place between 1-7 June, 2024 in Kolding, Denmark.
On the 27th of May, 2024, Dr. Nilüfer Can Daşkın gave a seminar titled "Using Conversation Analysis in Classroom Interaction Research."
On April 18, 2024, Thursday, a launch event for the DigiLTE Project and TEDU-CAN Research Group was held at TED University. The opening speech of the event was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Erdinç Çakıroğlu. The event, featuring a presentation by the project and research group leader, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Balaman, provided detailed information about the content of the project and the objectives of the research group. Faculty members and graduate students participated in the launch event.
